Alongside new weird stuff, we have been re-visiting our older classics for a while now. It was only a matter of time before we reached one of our most loved designs of all time.
The Liopleurodon is a beefy full size organic with a lot of power but a surprising amount of relaxed smoothness – a truly prehistoric experience.
The design is based on the very first iteration of the Lio, the OG so to say. We trimmed off some center-weight to give it a bit more float while retaining the classic Lio-experience.

Here’s your chance to win a brand new 2012 Liopleurodon!
All you have to do is make a little yoyo video with the following conditions:
duration max. 1 minute
upload your video to YouTube
use our logo in the beginning and show our URL at the end (ilyy.de)
music is not a must, but if you use sound, make sure it’s not copyrighted, use free music under the creative commons license and so on, but only yoyo-sounds are nice too
Skill alone won’t win you the Lio. Creativity is the most important aspect we’re looking for. That is, creativity regarding yoyo tricks, locations, recording and editing.

Deadline for submissions is May 13th.
We’re proud to announce the 2012 version of Liopleurodon. Just like the original with purple/titanium CandyBlast finish plus masked guts for longer string life. In some countries they will ship with a spare KMK conkave bearing.
The 2012 Liopleurodon is being machined as we speak. Here’s a first shot for you to enjoy. As soon as they’re done, they will leave for anodizing. We go classic this time: CandyBlast, titanium & purple.
